The Desert Shuttle – Airport Shuttle (PSP)
Heading down the mountain for a flight or arriving at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP)? The Desert Shuttle holds full commercial access permits to service arrivals and departures directly at PSP, providing a seamless, stress-free bridge between the Low Desert and our Hi-Desert communities.
Whether you are traveling as a large group, a military squad with heavy gear, or visitors heading out to an Airbnb, we ensure your entire party and your baggage arrive safely and together.
Why Reliable Airport Transit Matters in the Hi-Desert
Getting to the airport for a departure—especially on peak travel days like Sundays and Mondays—can be nearly impossible up here. Local transportation options are frequently overwhelmed, and rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft do not reliably operate or show up in the Hi-Desert.
When you book with us, you are locking in a guaranteed, reliable, dedicated professional charter vehicle.
2026 Airport Shuttle Rates (Flat Rate)
Our spacious passenger van comfortably accommodates up to 14 passengers plus the driver.
Please note: For smaller groups, luggage can simply take up unused passenger seats. For large groups with significant baggage, a trailer may be required.
Yucca Valley:
$250 flat rate. As a bonus, family or friends can ride with the van back up the mountain to Yucca Valley or Joshua Tree at no extra charge!
Joshua Tree:
$275 flat rate. Just like Yucca Valley, family or friends can return back up the mountain with the van at no extra charge.
Twentynine Palms / Marine Base / Landers:
$300 flat rate. This location will add a $25 surcharge for anyone wishing to return from the airport.
Military & Large Group Trailer Fee: Add a flat $50 if your group has excessive baggage or military gear that requires our dedicated baggage trailer. This keeps the inside of the van completely open for maximum passenger seating.
Light-Travel Special (1 to 3 Passengers)
Traveling light? In 2026, we offer a specialized $185 flat rate for parties of 1 to 3 passengers departing from Yucca Valley or Joshua Tree with light baggage only.
We do not add mandatory tipping or hidden auto-gratuities to your invoice. A standard 15% to 20% driver tip is highly recommended at the conclusion of your trip for excellent service.
Our Reservation & “Fair-Deal” Cancellation Policy
Because we operate a dedicated, personalized service with only one van and one driver, our weekend calendar fills up incredibly fast—often reserved up to 10 months in advance.
To secure your date on our master calendar, all airport shuttle reservations are prepaid. However, because we believe in treating our neighbors fairly, we operate under an extremely generous “When Things Don’t Work Out” refund policy:
Early Cancellations: If you need to cancel your ride at least 2 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund, provided we did not have to turn down another booking to hold your slot.
Delayed Flights: We actively track your arrival times. If your incoming flight is severely delayed to the point that it conflicts with The Desert Shuttle’s evening obligations, we will let you know and issue a full refund.
The Palm Springs Safety Net: You will never be stranded down the hill. If a flight delay causes a scheduling conflict with our van, there is always ample, reliable transportation readily available in the official Palm Springs Airport taxi queue to bring you up the mountain.
