Bachelorette Parties with The Desert Shuttle

The High Desert in and around Joshua Tree is a fabulous western location for destination bachelorette parties. The Desert Shuttle has accommodated loads of them…our Private Driver/Designated Driver service allows them to party and have fun.

Let Us Be Your “Designated Driver”

With The Desert Shuttle, many of these activities can be seamlessly experienced without having to try to arrange taxis or deciding “who rides with whom”…or who cannot party because they are driving.

We pick the group up (usually 6-10, the van accommodates 14 plus the driver) and take them to iconic local spots… 40 minutes away is a whole ‘nuther menu of fun evening places…Palm Springs…known as a Bachelorette Party Capital. If the group does not need a car (some Airbnbs are resort-like)…or you have only a small car…we can pick you up and return your group at an airport (we suggest PSP in Palm Springs).

The Desert Shuttle has 14 passenger seats, and is dedicated to your group for the evening, parked only a moment from the venue front door. Most groups have their favorite playlists that can be played on the van sound system.

Flexibility, Comfort, & Ultimate Safety

The Desert Shuttle only does one group gig a day, so you can start and finish anytime….and the group can even change their direction and time “last minute, on-the-fly”…whether starting earlier in the afternoon with cocktails…or doing “one more after-party” back at your Airbnb….into the wee hours of the morning.

Instant Departure and Relocation: We feature an instant departure mechanism to keep the evening flowing perfectly. Typically first to cocktails, then Dinner reservations, then the (western, outdoor) concert at Pappy & Harriet’s, and then we move on instantly whenever you are ready.

The “Portable Locker” & “Day Room/Retreat”: The driver stays with the van the entire experience. The van is always there for your use—no permission needed! Think of it like your own upscale resort “day room”—if you are at an outdoor concert or wedding and want to step out of the desert wind, the dust, the heat, or the cold, the van is your sanctuary. It can be used as a “portable locker” to leave and retrieve clothing as evening desert temperatures fluctuate…and bags, packs can be left, and devices being charged. It’s also a perfect private retreat if anyone just needs a few quiet minutes to rest, lay down, or step away from the crowd.

The Headcount Save: I count passengers as they get out…and when ready for the next venue, I have been told “ready”…when I let them know “7 got out, only 6 of you now”…which saves the whole experience.

Venue Destinations Often Used

Here is a list of some local destinations we often use. We truly apologize for all of the other great local venues that we have overlooked mentioning here—we love our desert community and do not want any of our amazing local places to feel marginalized!

Helpful Local Resources & Airbnbs

To help make your planning easier, we are also developing a “Bachelorette Resources” page! There is a very large inventory of extremely appropriate Airbnbs in the Joshua Tree area, right for every need:

Space for Everyone: Large enough to allow an appropriate number of people to sleep, some have 7 rooms or more, allowing room sharing or private rooms…as well as plenty of room in the common areas to not feel crowded or get “cabin fever”.

Privacy & Fun: Most of the “girl parties” appreciate the rural selection of accommodations….acreage enough for all sorts of privacy from neighbors….and to not bother neighbors…yet not so remote as to feel exposed or isolated. Hot tubs and pools are often a “must”…as can be the “great kitchen”, sometimes for dinners prepared by private chefs. Other Airbnbs offer incredible proximity to the venues sought after, close to or “in town”.

Stargazing: And do not overlook the amazing dark “night sky” the high desert excels in depending on the phase of the moon when you plan your visit.

In our resources page, we will suggest favorite activities, easy hikes in Joshua Tree National Park, and local “in-house” vendors like massage, nails, sound baths, or private chefs that will show up right to the privacy of your place.

Note to Local Businesses: We will be inviting each and all of our local resource vendors to include their own free personal business paragraph and/or link in this resources area!
